Me, on a good day.

About Sinamor Communications.

My name's David.

For more than 15 years, I've been helping people like you - line managers and team leaders at all levels - become better communicators.

Since my days as an IT trainer, I've been passionate about helping people in business, but when I started my career in Internal Communication back in 2007, that focus shifted to communication rather than advertising booking systems and reporting tools.

I've also built and led teams myself over the past 10+ years, so I know what it's like to be a line manager sitting between senior leaders and those on my team.

When a good friend of mine became a line manager many years ago, he was excited about the opportunity to lead a team, particularly given the increase in salary, status and responsibility.

But he soon learnt that leading a team was fraught with issues and conflict! And he was ill-prepared for the communication side of the role, which he's largely had to teach himself, like so many other line managers out there.

You've come to the right place.

Whether you're just starting out as a line manager (people manager, team leader, etc.) or whether you're a seasoned veteran business leader, you're very welcome here. And I'm sure you can find something useful to help you.

(You can start by signing up to receive my free guide, Kick-start Your Communications, to help you be a better communicator in just 5 steps. Complete the form on the homepage and you'll receive it instantly by email.)

Sinamor Communications on LinkedIn:

Why "Sinamor"?

Although "Sinamor" means 'loveless' in Spanish, that's not where the name came from...

I'm David Romanis.  Romanis backwards is Sinamor, which was the name of my grandfather's house in Musselburgh, Scotland, when my Dad was a boy.

I just liked it as a name, despite its Spanish translation.
